How am I different?

I am a specialist medical Doctor and lactation consultant who holistically and compassionately manages care for women, parents, people AFAB and children. I manage the intersectionality of issues in feeding, maternal and infant wellbeing and medical problems providing care in the ares of women’s health, paediatrics and neonatal care, breastfeeding medicine, gynaecology, pregnancy planning, support and care and mental health.

My Approach

My primary goal is to support mothers and families in meeting their needs with the recognition that the ways in which this can be done, are diverse.

I want parents to feel that I am beside them throughout their journey of early parenthood and in any challenges they may face.

Wherever possible, I advocate a hands off approach with a return to supporting the evolutionary neurobiology of mothers and babies. This allows for the fostering of attachment and connection with the minimum medical intervention necessary, encouraging for families to thrive.

collaborative goal setting and planning

In order to best assist, I spend time discussing what your goals are, your preferences and after assessment, collaboratively creating a clear plan and review date so that you have clarity around how to move forward.

support and confidence building

It is of paramount importance that you feel comfortable with your health providers and gently supported and listened to by them. In doing so, we work on building the confidence to recognise and put into practice your innate knowing around what is best for you and your baby.
